Finally got a chance to devirginize the build and did a quick run to test out her flexiness offroad. Ended up playing around and scratching the hell out of the bottom left corner of the rear bumper, whoops oh well lift needs to get back on pronto! Went up to Santiago Peak with a FJ buddy of mine, enjoy the pics!
Shot a couple of videos of some minor flex, uploading now, will post later:
Quick pshop of my custom tube bumper design, sorry Adventure Driven for using your rig as a base needed a rig with a bumper already.

UpStarr, thank you for your valuable contribution, however the GX is basically a Toyota Prado, which they use to offroad all over the world besides the US, so basically the GX is a 4wd v8 4runner with some dressed up interior items. Coming from a FJ, all the suspension and frame is the same, just longer. The FJ with all the suspension was very very capable and the GX will be too when I'm done with it. I picked it because of the comfortable interior and creature comforts for the future long trips on the road to my offroad adventures.

I meant the resonator is still straight through (if you take it off and look at it, you can see straight through with no baffling or anything in the middle, its not a big change at all, just sounds better to me, YMMV
it's not really that big of a deal to me anyway, I did it for the sound, the FJ was getting 12 mpg so I'm happy with anything above that, its actually been a relief driving the GX around even with having to fill up with 91

Nitpicky are we, sorry the correct numbers are 263 HP/323 lb of tq for the 06 GX470 w 2UZFE, but it's a good thing its easy to pull HP out of a V8. Coming from the 4.0L V6 with 239 HP/278 lb of tq. in the FJ, this GX feels fast as hell to me, loving it so far

Mini mod: added WeatherTech window visors to front & rear windows. I like these better than the AVS ones I had on my FJ because the front ones don't require any double stick tape in the channel and the rears are very minimal. I remember reading that people had problems with the auto roll up function with these, and when you first install them, the auto roll up will not function properly and roll back down. You have to gently put pressure outwards on the visors and try the auto roll up. It's a slow process but once you can get the auto roll up to work 5 times in a row, you are set and don't have to worry about it anymore. I love em!

In the future plans for me are headers/full exhaust/ AFE ProDry S intake, that should be good enough for me, need the full size spare for offroading, will be adding weight with metal front and rear bumpers and rear tire swingout/jerry can holder.

For temporary load use on trips until I can save up for a Baja Rack, picked up a Yakima LoadWarrior basket with locking cores and spare tire carrier for now. I need to buy the extension and hi lift mounts for it next. Painted the fairing to pay homage to my old FJ, reverse colors and reverse pattern.
