Running board cause dome 10 a fuse to fried.
Hi I have a 2005 Lexus gx 470. I live in edmonton. We have very bad winter condition here. I found that my driver side running board light was not working. So I change both bulbs to led. Still no luck , I went under the SUV to find out that the wire in the middle of the running had been torn apart ( the connector for both ends is gone ). So I wire n soldered the connection together. One for neg n other one for positive. Boom the lights works now. A couple hour later I found out that my dome light was not working. So I check the 10 a dome fuse. It was burnt. As soon as I put. A new fuse in it gets fried again. So I disconnect the running board wire that i had soldered and the dome 10 a fuse is fine. Everytime I connect the running broad wire the 10 a dome fuse get fried. Any help please.

I would look for another place in the wiring where it's damaged and is shorting out against the body.
