Default 135,000 miles and falling apart

Greetings;
My 2006 GX470 with 135,000 miles just fell apart.
The airbag sensor came on so the wife took it to the dealer.
They came back with a laundry list costing 5grand!
I found the fix for the airbag wiring.
I found the fix for the suspension sensor/lifter-anyone have an estimate to replace w/ a lift kit?
I found the tire sensor fix.
I see that a new battery is required.
The last item is the speed sensor.
Dealer says that all 4 are bad and further diags required and may be related to the computer going bad.
This is scary, how are the new trucks doing offroad with all the computer controlled stuff?
I see alot of off road mods and upgrades so it it worth putting all this money into it?
Our plan was to trick it out in a couple years and use it for camping.
Thanks in advance

purchased used w/ 90,000 from one owner grandma-serviced regularly.

06/01/14>My wife no longer wants to be "miss fancypants" and traded it for a Tacoma-thanks everyone

Batteries are just one of those things that need routine replacing. Airbags....they just gotta go. They cost so much to repair/replace and just don't last. Metaltech has a great kit sourcing most of the parts to switch to coils of your choice (OEM, OME, Ironman, etc.). There are plenty of threads on here and ih8mud covering the different options.

I don't know what to say about the speed sensors. All in all, it doesn't sound like you got a lemon but you're just running into the weakness of air suspension longevity. At least you only have two airbags where the LX folks have four that can fail on them. Still, plenty of OEM and aftermarket replacements are out there for you.

Welcome to CL by the way.

Welcome aboard! what part of CO are you in?

Dealers are notorious for overcharging for alot of things that can be fixed a different "proper" way.

Where is most of the cost? I assume the suspension? Like Nothnghead said, its an expensive unnecessary system that can be replaced much cheaper with the bullet proof coil system.
