Default POI in Nav

2006 GX and 13.1 navigation disk

I accidentally hit the voice command button and when I said "cancel" it turned on the POIs

How do I turn the POI off. I have been through all the menus and manuals but can't find where to turn them off. It only talks about amending them and turning them on.

They are annoying (IMO) since they are not accurate.

Thanks

Have you tried the speech command; "POI OFF"

If that doesn't work, try the speech command: "SHUT THE F##K UP!"

470. Started down that route but realized (in enough time) that my kids were in the car.

Will try those other options

LOL! My ex-wife did not respond well to that second voice command no matter how loud the command was expressed. As for the voice command "P - O - I OFF", as screwed up as the GX NAV system is, the correct command my be "poi off" pronounced like the Hawaiian food poi.

On way home today I spoke (more) clearly and articulated "P-O-I Off". It worked!

Didn't even use my angry voice.
