I'll be making a deal on a 2004 GX470 soon. Part of the deal I will negotiate dealer cost of a dash assembly and I'll have it replaced myself. What prices have people paid for their dash assembly? I already called the local Lexus parts dept and they quoted me a retail price of $1465.45 plus tax. Seems a bit high. I just want to make sure i'm not getting ripped off by the dealers parts department by comparing what other people paid.

$1400 is the list price for one in Black without the Mark Levinson/Nav option. For some reason, those are about $200 cheaper. Go figure.

Those prices don't include labor. My guess would be 6-8 hours worth, but ask.

Wow i thought $1465,45 was is a bit high especially since i'm seeing reports here about people getting quotes for $2000 which includes labor.

if you have any friends in Middle East or Far East, the whole set cost only $400/-. That is what I did got one shipped using my ex business partner. And the shipping cost $250. The whole thing worked 650/- door delivered.
Perhaps if you don't, then use the Club lexus Sewel Lexus parts for a discount. It is still worth it.

Thanks for the info! I have many friends in the Philippines. Do I tell them ask for a dash from a 2004 Prado?
