Default At a crossroad...

I bought a creampuff GX470 last year with the intent of lifting it etc....the only thing I've done to it so far is put some 4runner limited wheels on it and new tires.

Well I'm starting to have second thoughts about that now since its such a nice vehicle and I know that if i give it that treatment, I'm limiting the resale market (especially if I put an ARB bumper on the front). Really thinking about moving it along and getting an older LC.....I guess I wont feel as bad, plus the aftermarket is really geared towards these and I *think* it will be easier to mod.

Thoughts?

If I was looking for a rig to offroad, I'd start with something with a solid front axle, and less expensive than a real nice GX.

How about a 96-97 LX450?

Solid front and rear axles, massive amounts of aftermarket availability, and nicer interior appointments!

Yea!.....this is one of the alternatives that I am looking at. I really want to build it up as an expedition type vehicle rather than a strict off road machine. Might as well be comfy on those long trips right?

I had sent Blackwater an email about his LC.....havent heard back so I must have missed the boat on that one.

I think when I get back stateside I'm going to post my GX in the FS section and go from there....wifey is going to be pissed!
