Default rca inputs in the back of the head unit, nav or cd changer?

I want to get a simple iphone plug to rca converter and just tap into input in the back of those units if we have them. Can anyone confirm?

I've only ever seen RCA inputs on Scion head units, never on OEM toyota or lexus. Sorry. Check out Vaistech or Grom Audio for audio integration stuff.

I pulled my non nav head unit once upon a time ago looking at various options for an iPhone input. There are only RCA outputs on the back, no inputs. As already mentioned look at Grom, i have no expeirance with Vaistech.

does anyone know what type of connector is in the back of the cd changer? maybe there is a cable that can splice into that then plug into the iphone? then I could retain use of the cd changer and just use that one input one at a time. any pics of the back of the cd changer?

That's just how the Grom works. Plugs in between the changer and the head unit, and the audio plays through as if you were playing a cd. Depending on which one you get, you retain steering wheel controls for plug in Ipod, USB device, android or bluetooth streaming.

If you are thinking about physically splicing into some of the lines, I bet you could but you'd need a wiring diagram that shows which wires are carrying the audio signal. You'd also have to be sure the signal resistance matches the output of your audio device.
