Default ball joints and strut help.

I recently bought 2 shocks 2 struts and all 4 ball joints. The rears went in no problem. Having trouble getting struts out. I got the 3 upper nuts and the lower bolt out. But I can't get the whole assembly out. It seems stuck or something at the top. The bottom is free from the lcr. Am I missing something? Does the dampening solenoid come out with the while assembly. Ball joints. I have the clips off and the knuckle off. I have a ball joint press but no matter how hard I crank, it won't budge. And tips? Am I missing something. Thanks.

Did you remove the top piece that controls the sport / comfort settings? If not you have to remove that first since that stops the entire coilover from being removed.

I was able to get the hex on the back head but I ended up stripping it since it was so tight.

Remove the front hex screw and then use some pliers / pry bar to spin the bracket around so the rear is facing front. You're going to have to use some strength to do it. Once it's facing you, you'll be able to remove the hex screw without any problems.

Thanks RC. I'll give it a try. Gonna put a torch to the ball joints first tho. Those are a notch.

Alright guys. Do not attempt to do your own ball joints unless you have access to heat and a big ball joint service kit. Lesson learned. Or you can avoid all of this by buying while control arms with joint already pressed in.
