Help.. how to bleed rear brakes
Sorry if this is posted somewhere but I have looked (likely missed it due to all the in changing the rotors and pads.)
Anyways; is there a special process needed for bleeding the rear brakes? I can get the fronts to bleed as normal, but only got one 'spurt' out of the rear driver side then nothing.
On a side note, the rears seem to be working as the new rotors are not new looking anymore and a quick touch after a short drive led to a semi-burnt fingertip.
Called stealership and they offer a brake flush for $160 and said they have to hookup a computer to get it to work.
Anyhelp would be appreciated-

You let the system pump the fluid out for you.
(b) Rear brake lines
(b) Rear brake lines
(1) Turn the ignition switch to the ON position and depress
the brake pedal.
(2) Connect the vinyl tube to the brake caliper.
(3) Loosen the bleeder plug and release air.
HINT:Brake fluid is sent through the pump, so keep the brake pedal depressed until the air is completely bled out.
(4) When the air is completely bled out of the brake fluid
through the bleeder plug, tighten the bleeder plug.

Once again you saved me. Thanks.
Btw, ok to do this for a good bit on each caliper as to flush out old brake fluid? Reason I ask is that the little that came out of that one rear caliper was rather dirty.

Yeah that's what most do when the talk about doing a flush. Really they are just doing a long bleed to push the old fluid out and get fresh fluid from the reservoir back to the caliper(s). Make sure you keep the reservoir full or else you'll have to bleed the master which I believe you need the techstream to do.
