Default removing running boards

so i been wanting to remove my runnings boards on my 03 gx470 but not sure how. can anyone tell me how to remove them diagrams will help or videos thanks.

also any suggestions on what kind of tires i should get for it..for off roading

Hi Ajortiz, just wondered how it went removing them and what it looks like now. I've been considering the same thing as I am worried about clearance when off-roading. Thanks.
