Does it matter what year the FJ is in regards to the rear coil springs?

My 04 GX with 95K's ride could use a little freshening up. I'm not skilled enough to replace the rear shocks myself. If I wanted to use the OEM 4-Runner shocks, given the issue with widening the lower bracket, where should I take it? If RC'sGX was interested I'd pay him to do it since he is near me. Will a Toyota dealer do this considering the minor custom work needed?

Jus wondering how your icon shocks are working. How's the feel.

I just replaced my worn out OEM shocks this morning with the Toyota shocks. Rides like a new car.

The springs are the same 07-current

The icons are nice and smooth, I had them on the FJC and they work absolutely excellent even through big whoops in the sand dunes at Pismo.

thanks for the input. the oem toyota shocks worked good for like a week and then the ride got really bouncy and seems like there is excessive sway too.

This is a really great thread guys.

I have 115K on the clock and the suspension is starting to feel really funky.

While I hate the idea of having a switch that doesn't work in the cabin, the cost for the Lexus OEMs is just too much to stomach.

You can get a blank or pocket from your dealership that will fill that spot (from the 100 series LC's) and no one will ever know.
