Yes I know, it's an extra capacity filter IE: holds more oil. The base is the exact same size as the OE filter, it's just wider and longer.

thanks, does it fit OK in the space for the OE filter I may switch after I use my Toyota OE

Hear, hear!

The only thing I've been able to do is ask the dealer to run it and they did. Printout was basic. If you want the detailed info, it may be harder to get. Best course of action: bring donuts and just ask. If the answer is no, remove donuts from them and ask someone else.

I just changed mine today and with stock OEM filter it only took 6 qts to fill to middle of dipstick. (Even ran it for 15 seconds after draining to get as much old oil out)
I see many posts stating 6.5 or so, does it vary that much? used Mobil 1 5w-30

These engines vary between 6-7qts.
