My headlights have a little haze in them. Has anybody used any of those restoration products? Just seeing if anybody has any experience or advice. Thanks

My headlight wasnt too bad. however I used Meguiars PlastX it was for headlight. I would say its ok nothing great. I havent tried their kit.

Find a local company that performs the service. They sand of the surface removing the discoloration and haziness then buff it back to a sparkling shine. It was about $50 for my old car but it looked fantastic, some will schedule on weekends or come to your work. I would, however, recommend a sealer after they sand to delay recurrence. Use Yelp or similar to find a good business in your area.

I have the Meguires one step system and have used it on numerous vehicles of mine. For minor hazing it works quite well and doesn't scratch anything, but it needs to be done every so often because within a few months you'll have to do it again.

Someone suggested toothpaste...

I've never tried it but I suppose it wouldn't scratch.

I used tooth paste to clear up the plastic camera lens on my last phone. Worked quite well.
Not sure about using tooth paste on large surface like a headlight though!!!

What he said. I have a local body shop that does all my cars for like $25. Takes 20 minutes. Longer to tape all the surrounding paint than to buff that badboy

I'm going to find a shop and have em do it. I want it to look right. I've also heard of the toothpaste thing but not sure I wanna try it. Feel like if I screw it up and tell people what I did I will get the "look".

That toothpaste thing will work ok, but won't get them completely clear.

For moderate condition lenses you need to:
1. Polish (With a plastic polish, or even an automotive paint polish
2. Seal with a sealant (there are special headlight sealants)

For really bad lenses you need to Wet Sand, Polish, then Seal

Most people leave out the sealing step which is why they yellow again so quickly. Use the least aggressive method first, and if that doesn't work step it up.

Meguiar's 2-Step system does wonders. Just did mine last night and it look like the day I bought my vehicles... 7 years ago.
I would post pictures but it's been awhile since I posted anything with pictures. Forgot how to do it. Could some one refresh my mind.
