I definitely want to do this. Since I've never messed with LED is there an conversion or is it plug and play?

It's all plug and play. Remove your old bulbs and put in the LED bulbs.

Do the LED lights still do the "theater dimming" when you open and close the doors?

LOVE IT,

How much in LED did it cost you so far?

How do you remove plastic lens and change bulb on the step board?

Yeah they make a huge difference.

So far they cost about $60. I haven't done all of the interior lights but the ones I did are the only ones I needed to be brighter.

You don't remove the lens. Look underneath of the boards and you'll see the sockets. You change them out just like you would a normal 194 bulb, twist the socket remove / replace the bulb and twist back. You'll probably need a shop light because it's a tight fit to get your hand in here. You can pull back some on the running board cover to make it easier to see the socket.

Thanks,

just noticed both FOG lights are not working, didnt know it before.
I checked the fuse in the engine bay labelled "Fog" and also swapped with a another fuse, no luck.

How can both be out? Anyway, looks like I dont have to remove any plastics, it has access. Any recommendation on bulbs, I might as well some long lasting bright ones. I would like to buy locally since I want to be done with it. I saw in your PDF shows H3.

BY THE WAY, there are no indication for fuse light on Dash cluster, in my other lexus, if bulb goes out, it shows on the instrument cluster.

That's weird that both bulbs are out but it is possible.

It's easy to remove the fogs. There's only 1 bolt holding them in from the back then you push it out from the back and pull it out from the front.

See attached PDF and start w/ # 6. I don't know why Lexus says to remove the fender liners and bumper cover. It literally takes 10-20 secs. to remove them. No wonder they like going by the book hours!!

I use standard H3 bulbs from Autozone, O'Reilys etc. I've always liked yellow fogs so I installed some Lexus yellow glass capsules. Now I can run a standard bulb instead of the more expensive yellow bulbs.

Yeah, I don't know why the GX didn't come w/ bulb out warnings?

Okay.

So it is my understanding that, after reading this thread, they are direct replacement bulbs. Just find the bulb number and instead of replacing the bulb with an incandescent you replace it with a LED.

No other modifications needed.

Thanks

Yep, 100% PNP (Plug-n-Play) bulbs. Remove stock bulbs, install LED bulbs.
