Default I pulled the trigger!!!...(updates)

Picked up this one owner 2003 with 120k miles, last week! I couldn't be happier with the build quality, and comfort. Its one solid truck! Its by far the nicest most luxurious vehicle my family has ever owned. I'm very glad to be apart of the GX community. Here are some pics

Some stats from the service history...
Glove box lock replaced

Front brake rotor(s) replaced
Front brake caliper(s) replaced

Antifreeze/coolant flushed/changed

Timing belt replaced
Water pump replaced
Cabin air filter replaced/cleaned

Muffler replaced
Rear shock absorber(s) replaced
Serpentine belt replaced

Front brake pads replaced and rotors resurfaced
Brake caliper(s) replaced

Upcoming mods:
HID Headlights
Skid plates replaced (where to buy OEM parts for non OEM prices?)
In dash Navi unit with rear cam (what's everyone going with? I'd like an 8" screen, thoughts on the Alpine Alpine INE-Z928HD ?), also what would I need to keep full streeting functionality? Is it simply a plug and play application?
Refurbish the stock rims
I would like to replace all interior lighting with some nice blueish LEDs..are there any writeups on this?
Anything else a MUST do?

ISSUE:
There is a flashing "off" light under the height control display on the dash. The height control says it is in neutral however the truck is currently sitting at 3ft from fender to road. I'm going through the owners manual and hopefully will find a way to get this corrected.

- how accurate is the MPG monitor? I'm supposedly getting in the mid 20's mpg!

The truck will be taken to Lexus here in Dublin, OH on Saturday for a full inspection and fresh fluids.

Yes it was one of them. The service history and overall condition of the vehicle sold me. Your guidance definitely helped.

Cheers!

Congrats. Looks real sharp - especially the driver's seat leather.

I'll bet my paycheck it's not getting mid-20's mpg for more than a few miles. Even downhill. With a tailwind. Idling.

And keep that front plate off!

I just filled her up ($60.00) so I plan on doing the math this week to see what she's really getting. The interior was really mint, my Galaxy S3 make sit look twice as creased as it really is! Rear sears (even 3rd row) are pretty much untouched. Wood looks like it just left the factory, and dash has one (knock on wood) hairline crack running along the gauge cluster lip. I wish i could keep the front plate off of it..it really looks clean but Ohio is not allowing it for now.

Have to disagree.......coming up on 98K miles and I yes I do get 19 to 21 mpg......

that's maybe because I do drive like Mr. Magoo in the right hand lane.....

time to go happy motoring up the California coast.....

For folks who say they're getting 19-21, is this hand-calculated or the computer?

I've been hand-calculating to compare w/the onboard computer and am depressed now

Computer is 10-15% optimistic. My "around 15.5 in the city" and "around 20 on the highway" in reality is "13.5-14" and "18 at best".

I've done some highway driving about 70mph and it held close to that as well.

Yes, pls hand calc or it didn't happen...

I'm dubious. Just saying. Even at 55mph on the fwy for 100% of the time.

Took the truck into my local service center for a once over and oil change. I have to say Germain Lexus in Dublin OH is a CLASS ACT. All the way! My tech went over every single issue I had took the time to even do some buffing of my skid plates which took off the surface rust. Addressed each and ever problem I had...even showed me that my mirrors do tilt when I reverse just not when the mirror button is centered! Oil change was only $60 out the door. Free cash washes for life and a lounge with wifi, food, drinks, massage chairs etc. I'm even more excited to be a Lexus owner now.

Also, it turns out one of the sensors have gone bad on the height control. Should be a easy fix.
