Default Total Cost of Ownership?

I am trying to determine the Total Cost of Ownership for the GX. (This is strictly academic as I have already purchased one.) The biggest variable is always depreciation in determining TCO. Does anyone have any idea of depreciation for the GX, possibly based off of prior ownership of an LX470. I plan on keeping it for 7 yrs and 100,000 miles. My current estimate is 65 cents per mile for 100,000 miles. I have figured the depreciation at $31,500 over seven years, which would make the sales price appox $22,500 at the end of the term. Too low or too high?

22.5 for a truck with a 100k on it, try selling it when it is 5 years old with 60,000 for 22.5

Since several of my friends own/work in the car business, I know 1st hand that most 50,000 dollar cars don't sell for more than 5 grand with 90k on them

I have found in the past that following the Kelley Blue Book I have always been able to beat the trade-in value by selling to a private party. The trade-in on a LX470 with 90,000 miles is about 20,000 in excellent condition. The estimate of 22.5 is almost certainly too high but 5,000? That would surprise me. Anybody else have any opinions on this.

If 50K cars drop down to $5K automatically when they hit 90K, please point me to a nice silver 540i or GS400 at that price. I can deal with the high mileage

After playing around on KBB for a little while, it is amazing that 50k cars with 100,000 miles on them will sell for around 20k.

Shocking how domestics loose value compared to imports.

I would never buy one, hell for 20 grand I would find another 10 and buy something new
