Power window problem GX 470 (2003)
Hi, I am back again and hope someone can help me. I have had a problem with my driverside window. Window goes down but will not go up. I guess I need a new switch. Money is a little thight now and I have been closing the window with the key. Worked great for months and yesterday it stopped working at all. I know the switch is bad, but now even the key operation is dead. Need help on solving this problem. Could'nt sleep at all last night.

Sounds like you already know what the problem is although until you get a meter on it you won't know for sure. IT could also be the actuator. Have you tried calling a local junk yard or two to see if they have switches?
There are a few on ebay

Like I said it could be the actuator although that doesn't explain why the actuator worked with the key and not the switch. Before you start throwing money at parts I would take a volt meter to the switch to see if it is in fact the switch as opposed to the actuator. You may want to take your door panel off and see if the mechanism just may need some lithium grease or the like.
