Default brake noise--Maybe brake booster?

Ok this just started and it has to do with brakes in a way----the Noise is the sound of when you are deflating a balloon (the squeaking sound). Its under the dash area and I can make it do it if I press on the brake pedal and let off it will make the squealing sound. Some times it will do it on its own just driving along without even hitting the breaks, but when it DOES start doing it I can make it do the noise constantly pushing the brake pedal down and then letting off!!!

Hope this makes sense and someone has had this issue!

It has nothing to do with the Physical Brakes!!!

Its something under the dash that has to do with the brake pedal--the sound is like letting the air out of a balloon-it will do it for about 3-4 seconds----pause 3-4 seconds again. doesnt do it constantly though. When it starts to make that sound I can push the brake pedal down and when I release the balloon (squealing) will happen---this is when Im stopped with car on! ALso the sound will appear as Im driving too.

That sounds to me the Skid control buzzer which is related to your brake master cylinder or noise coming from the Master Brake Cylinder itself.

Hmmmm--Ok def a brake pedal function/noise it seems. I have no lights or wierd braking issues at all, seems normal. there is a white plastic piece right above back side of brake pedal with a blue snap in connector? Wonder what that is.

I realize this post is from many moons ago but did you ever get this issue resolved? My 07 GX 470 is making this noise. I think it is the electric motor on the ABS master cylinder pump.... any help would be greatly appreciated.....

Default Brake noise??

I have the same noise. Happened only for about 5 minutes and I drove straight to my mechanic. Of course the noise wouldn't sound off for him and he couldn't come up with an answer.

I've attached the audio file

Please tell what is it!

Did you ever get this fixed? I am having the same issue and I think it is a sign that the brake pump in the master cylinder is going bad.

I know this is a very old thread, but any help would be much appreciated!
