But only if you have the DVD player installed from the factory. I don't think you can simply put a DVD into the CD changer, right?

So the GX470 Navigation screen in the dashboard can not play a DVD movie like the Navigation in the LX 470 can?

Default Yes it can

But only when you are in park and the parking brake is on. As soon as you either release the parking brake or the transmission is shifted from "P" the movie disappears and whatever was there before (typically the NAV screen) reappears.

Default I'm told it can

and it's been reported in other threads in this board.
do a search. I think it works just like the LX, put it
in park, and DVD's show up on the NAV screen.

I even think there's a picture somewhere that proves it.

I want to buy the factory DVD system and install it, or have someone install it. My GX didn't come with the DVD RES but I am confident you can still buy the parts. Most likely the wiring is already in place as the rear console is a remote command receiver and passes the radio information from the front unit already.

Default Now we need the wiring diagram

We know that other owners of LX's have been able to make the front touch screen play DVD's while driving. Now we need a brave soul with a GX to figure out which wires to cut. Probably very similar. Who's up for it?
