Hello,
I've been poking around a couple of Lexus forums and keep finding the same responses to this question which I want to get away from. I want to upgrade/replace the tape deck in my '06 gx470 w/nav without using one of the ipod connect kits. I already have used 2 of them, the Viastech and an iSimple gateway. Both are consistently inconsistent when turning the vehicle off/on. I hate having to unplug or reset the ipod/iphone just to get it to work. Has anyone actually replaced the deck with something else without losing any functionality? If so what did you replace it with? Something that can do bluetooth music streaming would be ideal but I will take whatever at this point..

Just found a bluetooth isimple product that I'll be looking into next weekend...hopefully it's better than the plug in version.

well that bluetooth one that i was going to look into is not what i was looking for.. The iSimple SFM2 .basically just uses a FM signal but receives Bluetooth signal. Doesn't help with using the wheel or screen controls. I spoke to iSimple regarding my iSimple ISTY571 and they are saying it's defective and to return it.. We'll see how that goes, doing that later today. Can anyone else that has that model state if you are having the same issues as I am?
