Question moving from original 17s to 18s

Any GX owners planning on moving up to 18"?

What are the advantages and disadvantages of doing so?

Will the move to 18" make the vehicle slower?

I was just checking whether the LX470 18" will look good on the GX470.

moving upto 18's would be nice, i wonder how the rear air suspension would like it.. that'd be the only consern, and trac might feel a little differnt depending on the way they programed it.. bit i doubt it would have any big problems

I was $800. away from swapping out the GX's 17's for the LX's 18's when the parts guy realized the LX 18's are a 5 lug nut design while the GX is 6 lug nut design. I was bummed because I liked the factory LX look and don't really want aftermarket wheels.

Unhappy Shucks!

Thanks BGOMEZ for your findings.

I wanted to go your route and exchange my original 17" GX wheels for the LX 18"s.

Sad to hear that its not possible.

I don't want to go the aftermarket route either.
