Default 2006 gx470 -- replacing entire headlight housing on saturday! any tips?

Sooo i have USR black housing clear lens lights. Ready!
After watching a few youtube videos. I know you have remove/loosen the entire front bumper.
The nuts are 10mm.
Remove the bracket;
Slide the light out;
Get those bulbs in and the wire harnesa bit
Then put every thing back in!

I anticipate that i will get bogged down removing/installing the bumper!$
Sooo any advice or tips for a smooth removal/install?

When you remove the lens after unbolting it, pull STRAIGHT FORWARD. There is a clip and if you lift up you will break it.

Got it! Im assuming to put the new light in it should go STRAIGHT BACK too? Or at a angle?

Yes, inserting the new one should also go straight back. Once you have the old housing out you should see the plastic it clips into.

Great job! what kind of headlight is this? (I also had great luck with restoration. looked almost new again)
I always thought you have to remove the bumper fascia to get unbolt the headlights, but it seems you didn't

Thanks! I got these from unique style racing! They were selling it thru ebay. They have different kinds of housings! The other black one has amber colored corner lenses instead of clear corners.
i still had to remove the front bumper, but i didn't take it all the way off tho! I actually couldn't detach the fog lights, so i left it be! Lol

Can you take picture of the beams against wall or garage door at night later? Did you aim them?
I think anything will be better than the cloudly factory lights though.

Yeah! I was testing the light beams last night i notice that its angled at the height of a vw jettas vw logo! And the driver side slightly lower. So it shouldn't blind anyone. Standing in front of the truck is blinding either. Unless i kneel down close to the headlights.
it seams the lights are positioned quite well out of the box!
