GX-470 Rear Spolier
Just curious as to how many GX-470 owners will be adding on the Rear Spoiler.
Does is matter what exterior color the vehicle is in order for the rear spoiler to be cosmetically good looking on the vehicle?

I am getting the rear spoiler installed today. I have no idea how it will look other than pictures. My exterior is silver pine. There is a picture in the brochure of a silver pine w/ spoiler.
This whole buying experience has been a leap of faith for me. I had not seen the car and/or driven the car before I picked it up.
So far I have been pleased.

What does it do?
Are people getting the spoiler for anything other than cosmetic reasons? Does it have any meaningful practical value in a truck like this? I understand the value in a sports car but not sure what it does in a truck. How much does the dealer charge for it?
I'm picking mine up on Tues (Silver Pine) so I guess I'd better decide now if I want to include it in the initial invoice and get the cool big deduction.

It is definitely for cosmetic purposes only. I don't know if I really need it but I figured what the hell. Why not get everything.
My dealer charged me $551 for it. Don't know if that is MSRP or not.

It is more than cosmetics, though it does look nice. The rear window deflector/spoiler forces air down accross the rear window keeping it much cleaner that if you didn't have it.
You'll especially appreciate it on a rainy day, or worse yet snow/wet/sand covered roads. You'll get much less spray on the rear window. :-)

They upped the price on lexus-parts.com to 561 after I inquired. At that price I may as well work with the dealer. However I need to straighten the dealer out as far as the labor. They want to charge 6 hours of labor!!!
