Found great deal on OEM rear shocks
As some of you know I replaced my front shocks w/OEM shocks that I bought from Sewell this past summer, now I am ready to replace the rears (they are feeling a bit soft).
So I was about to pull the trigger on a purchase from Sewell to the tune of $900+ when I decided I would check ebay first. Sure enough, I found a seller selling OEM rear shocks by the pair for $699 shipped! While the rears are still not cheap, this is a great deal on a relative basis.
If anyone has this project on their radar screen below is the link to the seller who appears to only have a handful left.

Yes they have been around a while, but don't spend too much time asking questions as last time I did they changed the price to WAY over stock OEM price. So people PLEASE don't ruin things for everyone else lol. Just buy it haha! I dunno what their deal is. That price I believe is whole sale.

Good timing...after my 90K service including timing belt, water pump, drive belt, etc, the only outstanding issue the mechanic found is a leaking rear shock. This whole air suspension setup on GX seems to be a soft spot as I have seen many owners having issue, mine is at 98K so I can't really compain that much. The truck rides so good!!

I wouldn't trust those shocks from that eBay seller! I found the same shocks on a China website (alibaba) that is NOTORIOUS for letting sellers sell counterfeit goods on there.
Look at this link:
http://www.alibaba.com/product-gs/89...ber_48530.html
Brand Name: Saiding
The eBay seller is using the exact same picture as the China seller with his added watermark. In that same link above look under the Brand Name, it says Saiding, NOT Toyota / Lexus or KYB. The name of the company selling those shocks is Guangzhou Saiding Auto Parts: http://saidingautoparts.en.alibaba.com/
Be warned. If it's too good to be true it usually is.......
FYI, counterfeit airbags w/ OEM logos came out of Guangzhou so why not shocks, water pumps, sparkplugs etc.

Okay, rear shocks came today, Genuie Parts Warehouse in Texas. Original Toyota OEM packaging, KYB electronic nitrogen gas filled shocks. They look like the real deal to me. $788. Hope to cut those old ones out. Got a sawzall. Should be a piece of cake...famous last words.
