OEM Cup Holder Divider is available- Do not buy on eBay w/o reading this first!!!
The OEM divider is available new from Lexus for half the cost of the used parts on eBay!
Like many GX470 owners, I found myself in need of the front cup holder divider from my newly acquired 2007 GX470 Sport. While some have broken theirs, in my case it was missing when I bought the GX for my wife. After searching for options on the web and Club Lexus I was left with the following commonly accepted options:
Option 1: Complete assembly with divider from Lexus $150+
Option 2: Used OEM divider on eBay $50
Option 3: Simple, non OEM appearance divider from the accessories section of Sewell Lexus $21

Option one was definitely out with the cost being absurd just to get the divider. I was very close to option two on eBay but $50 still seemed a bit excessive and part of me felt that all those used dividers couldn't possibly have all come from wrecked vehicles and some were likely removed and kept by selling dealers or auctions. Therefore, in a way I would be indirectly perpetuating the potentially questionable activities that possibly caused the original divider in my GX to go missing in the first place... That left option 3, less than ideal as the one pictured on Sewell is simply a plastic divider with foam tabs on each side, not the articulating OEM version. I rationalized my wife would likely be perfectly happy with that version having never used the OEM divider and it was cheap enough that I wouldn't be too disappointed if it was junk and had to fall back to option 2. In went the order to Sewell...
By the end of the week a box of Lexus parts was in my lap (I ordered a few other items at the same time). Imagine my surprise when I opened the package and found the divider I received is the EXACT SAME as the OEM used ones on eBay only mine was new and less than half the cost! All of my forum research indicated the OEM divider was not available separately from Lexus. Fortunately, this is not the case as it most certainly is available. Hopefully this information will save some other forum members from overpaying for a used divider on eBay.
The package for the divider I received from Sewell stated SUPPORT, INSTRUMENT 55633-60050
Enjoy!

I bought my GX new in 2005. Until I read this thread, I didn't even realize that the cup holder divider even had those articulating wings to adjust for size. I knew that you could put the divider into multiple slots to make the cup holder space on one side or the other bigger, but I had no idea that the space could be further adjusted with those wings.
When I get a new vehicle, I try to do a careful job of reading the manual, but I guess that I must have assumed that thorough reading of the section that explains about the cup holders wasn't necessary to know how to use them.
I guess that there is always something new to be learned.

I bought one from Sewell and it's a nice addition but the adjusting wings are click type. Really, really, really wish they had been spring loaded like I originally thought they were.

I miss my Tundra...not that had some useable cupholders, 6 total that would hold anything.

I had a VW with a terrible cup holder. My normal size drink was an MCD medium coffee. The cup would tip over every time during 'spirited' driving. Went to a Dollar Store and purchased a plastic cup slightly larger than an MCD medium coffee cup, cut down the plastic cup to about 1/2 its size, and used double stick tape to hold the plastic cup in the VW cup holder. A medium MCD cup nested perfectly inside the plastic cup. No more spilled coffee. Someone needs to design a french fry holder!
