Did Lexus Replace Engine on Used Lexus GX?
Looking for some help before I purchase a GX 470... From reading Club Lexus, I learned to plug in the VIN on "Lexus Drivers" website to check service history (thanks)! When I did so on a GX 470 I'm looking at from Carmax, I see that the previous owners were pretty good about normal service intervals (all at Park Place Lexus) but no timing belt change (vehicle has 110k miles). In looking at the service history, I find the following at the 78,138 mark:
03/15/2011 Park Place Lexus 78138
Repair #: 0891151
"LX 470 04 & NEWER 70,000 SERVICE: 70,000 MILE SERVICE ALL MODELS: REPLACE ENGINE"
Did they really replace the engine? If so, should I assume, the engine only has 40k on it? There is no comment about "recommend timing belt replacement" in the service record (but there was on rotors for an earlier brake job - which the owner did on next visit).
Your thoughts? Thanks in advance, this sight is an awesome resource for Lexus owners!

since that is a general service entry - note the lx 470 designation - my guess is that it got clipped and likely reads - replace engine air filter, or replace engine oil filter.
