Same motor and tranny

Suspension: Rear suspension cruiser wins, no airbags (expensive when they break)
Space: Cruiser wins more space in the back (does that make a difference to you?)
Gas mileage: GX wins, slightly better gas mileage
Zippiness: GX wins, being lighter.

You can't wrong with either

Test drive both and then decide

I have an FJ40, FZJ80 and GX. Love the GX for everyday driving, nice power, torque. Don't like the space with 3 kids.
