I just purchased a GX at Prestige in Ramsey NJ and have been waiting 2+ weeks. I find it a bit hard to believe that they have 14 vehicles in stock at one time. Maybe at best 14 on site which are SOLD. I've visited there about 4 times prior to my purchase and, at best, they may have had about 5 (most if not all of which were sold vehicles) on-site. In any event, consider yourself LUCKY if you find the vehicle you want on-site.

None the less, I can't complain about the dealership. I shopped around various dealers in the area including Ray Catena, Greenwich, and Englewood - and Prestige came up with the lowest figure. I've been waiting about 2 1/2 weeks now for an Ash Blue Mica w/Char. interior to come in. Their "LIST" identifying what dealer has what and when new cars are coming in supposedly still hasn't arrived since the time of my purchase....

Have had my GX for about 6 weeks, 53K loaded, including sending my rims off to be polished chrome. Just got it back from being painted from (sand dollar pearl) to White Gold Crystal, all windows tinted dark (no problem with GPS), and having DVD work on front Nav. Stored 3rd row seats (dogs need somewhere to ride). Need HID lights now. They will not know me when I take it in Monday for it's 1000 mile check (and to change rims).

Default Paint

4K....I know to much, but they take it apart so it is painted just like it had come from the factory, it took 4 weeks. Just got it back today. I have always had white cars even before they were in.

4 Grand is not a lot really, especially if it is something that you look at everyday and smile Although you are the only one with a white GX which will throw them off at the dealer and probably have a lot of new customers asking for a white GX

Do you know how the place painted it, did they remove all the sand dollar paint and do a complete paint job from scratch or where they able to rough up the surface and paint ontop of it, also Im guessing you can see the original paint color in the engine bay but not much by all the plastic covers

Default Paint

EDGE2,

They removed the paint completely, when you open the hood you can't see original on sides but if you look deep in back I can see a little original. That must mean they didn't remove the engine.

Default where did you get the wheels chromed?

I didn't think that was possible. I guess they sand-blasted first?

how much did that run you?

Default just the rims

Sorry Mo, I wasn't clear. I was just interested in how much it cost to chrome the OEM Lexus wheels, and who he got to do that sort of thing.
