Default Navi not working on newly purchased GX

Just picked up an 07 last Friday and noticed Navi wasn't working when I got home(400 miles away). Message says Can't read DVD. Insert Navigation DVD. Took it to dealer and it does have the original Dvd...technician cleaned it off and re-inserted but same message.

He said I'll probably need a refurbed ECU unit at $1500. What should I do.....insist that selling dealer make it right and pay cost? Try a brand new ECU? Get another opinion?

Any help is appreciated. I've put a call into dealer but I'm skeptical they'll want to spend that much to fix a car they've just sold. On other hand, it's only been 4 days and they implied it was working.

I'd try to locate an _original_ DVD and see if that DVD of NAV system. I have the old 07 version DVD from NAV system sitting there doing nothing. Can mail it to you if needed. It did work for sure. If thta NAV then i'd put a pressure on dealer - they stated it worked.

Went back to lexus dealer and they loaned me a new "07" version to compare. It didn't work either. What's my recourse on a 4 day old car that they didn't disclose Navi was broken. At the time the rep said it was probably just the discs that needed to be loaded. I took her word for it since they are a large Audi dealer in Atlanta.
