OK...wonder if I am the only one out there....tripped over 200,000 miles today. 2003 model year, original owner! So far what I had done:

timing belt
battery (2)
replaced radiator (leaked early on, but not with the new one)
transfer case replaced (as of today)
brakes
boots in front needed replaced
air conditioner compressor

Overall some other minor stuff....but still cheaper than a new one!!

Pretty cool you havent had to do any major maintenance to get over 200K. Id like to see an American vehicle do that. Hell my old American cars couldnt go over 60K without major maintenance.

Gotta love Toyota!!

GrayM, good job. I live in the rust belt too.

How is the under carriage after 9 years?

I assume that you don't have the original rims on the car now, that pit?

Hi guys!

Lexus GX 2004. Mileage for today more than 255 miles and I am also original owner.

My replacement list at this mileage:

- timing belt 4 times
- battery 2 times
- replaced radiator 1 times
- water pump 1 times
- disk brakes 1 times front and 1 time rear
- shock absorbers many times
- upper and lower fornt arms twice
- upper and lower rear arms once
- bearings and seals front axles twice
- 4 sets of summer tires and 4 sets of winter tires

2UZ-FE engine is in good health and still does not require adding oil between changes every 6-6.5 KMiles

Too be fair our other car is an 03 Trailblazer sitting at 140k with no major maintenance. My father is driving an 04 Silverado with 160k again no major maintenance. Have always been a Chevy/Toyota/Honda family.

Were your American cars Fix Or Repair Daily s, aka Fords?

Pardon me, but some of that stuff sounds kinda major to me! I bet a new transfer case wasn't cheap.

I forgot

After 125 kMiles threw pneumatic ballons in the rear axle and put springs with +2 inch lift and OME shock absorbers.

After run 250 kMiles changed:

- Seals the camshaft and crankshaft
- Brushes and alternator bearings
- Added grease to the bearings starter
- Changed the seal actuator transfer case 1 times

The A/C and Transfer case sound like a $1000+ job each at an independent shop.

As for American cars, I had a 1999 Z28 Camaro for a number of years, drove it from 41k to 130k. Only thing other than brakes and tires, the automatic tranny fell out of it, $1700 bill there. Other than that it was flawless, and I beat the ever living **** out of that car. Had a 1991 Cadillac Brougham, owned it for 3 years from 101k to 131k. I kid you not, only thing it needed in that time was brakes, tires, a $20 sensor, and a new headliner. I spent less than $900 total maintaining that 20 year old car over a three year period.
