Question Extended warranty

Hello
I got the quotation fro extended warranty for my GX470/07.

comments are really appreciated
here is the summary.
36months or 60,000km Superior Wrap coverage $2865
48months or 80,000km Superior Wrap coverage $3098
60months or 100,000km Superior Wrap coverge $3626

The Superior Wrap coverage will cover the engine, transmission, transfer case, drive axle, steering, brakes, electrical, air conditioner and heating, fuel system, front and rear suspension, cooling system, enhanced electrical, all computers and sensors. Basically, whatever your vehicle’s coverage was when it was brand new, will cover you for the term you require. This also includes road side assistance, rental coverage and trip interruption. The coverage is good in all of Canada as well as the US. There is a deductible of $200 however, we will reduce that by $50 when you come to our dealership!
*Please note that wearable parts are not covered under any warranty.

Get more quotes from other dealers. Just call them or request it via email. Try some that are out of state.

I've never bought extended warranty from Lexus, but i have done it multiple times for Acura and Nissan/Infiniti cars. I always found the best ext. warranty prices from remote dealers who sell them over the Internet or over the phone. My local dealers were ALWAYS 35-50% more expensive. Bigger markups.
For my 2006 Acura RL, i bought the extended AcuraCare warranty from an Acura dealer in Florida. Same exact contract and coverage as the one offered by my Acura dealer in California.... yet i paid $750 less. Since it is nationwide coverage - i never had any issues with claims or warranty work. No one cares where you bought the extended warranty contract, as long as it is valid.

Shop around...

IMHO, extended warranties are a waste of time and money. Especially on a Lexus/Toyota product. If you bought a GM I'd probably say the complete opposite, since they're all Pieces of ****! But if you want to waste your money, I'm give you my paypal account info and you can give me the 3 grand...

I also have a paypal account and could do the same work for just $2,000.

I bought the extended warranty from Troy for my GX470 06 in Aug 2010. In Jan of 2011 my Lexus link went and had to be replaced which cost over 2700.00. I only paid around 1500.00 for an additional 3 yrs and a total of 75,000 miles warranty.

For me the extended warranty already paid for itself with other work that has been done including my alternator that went also. This is also the first time I've ever kept a truck this long so it was the first time we even had to think about it. Most of the time I wouldn't even consider an extended warranty for anything but this time it paid off.

Right now my truck has 50,300 miles on it and wished I had bought the 4 yr additional instead of the 3 yr since I want to keep the truck.

Good Luck,
