Default Weird grinding noise when steering wheel turned completely right

My 08 gx just started making this weird noise when I have I'm leaving from a stop and have the wheel towards the right. It sounds like a rubbing noise. This doesn't happen when I have the wheel turned to the left. Only the right.

thanks sid

Bad wheel bearing, cv joint?

If not, are yall running the stock tire size?

I'm asking because I'm running larger tires and before trimming / using a heat gun I rubbed more on the passenger side (louvered part on the wheel well / fender liner) than on the drivers side.

X3

Thanks for posting this. Until your post, I had just dismissed mine as the tire rubbing. I'll put mine on a hoist next week and take a look.

It's not a grinding or snapping noise like a CV, mine is a rubbing noise that I assumed started when I put on the summer tires. Now that I see you have had the same issue, you have me wondering

Yes, I am running stock tire size.
I have an idea that it is the front wheel bearing and hub assembly. Of course, it could also be a ball joint.

I have an appointment at the stealership tomorrow so I will let you know. Luckily, this is covered under my extended warranty.

Thanks RCsGX... that's a pretty sharp observation!!!

If anyone with a GX cares, mine was just the right tire catching the skid plate. The skid plate comes off every time I get the oil changed and I guess the guys bent the right corner down just slightly. I just crawled under the front bumper and bent the corner back up about an inch.

Cheers!

Don't you love it when it's something so simple.
