2008 Lexus GX
I am looking at a few Lexus GX470s. 2008 models with 50-60k miles. Looking both on ebay and carmax. The prices I am seeing is around 30,000 - 31,000. Is that in line with what other people have been paying?

We bought a 2007 with 34k miles in May for 31000.
Has every option, and we wanted white, so we didn't have much choice.
I think that was reasonable. It was one owner immaculate.
You cant go wrong with the GX one of the best vehicles we have ever owned.

I bought a 08 with 25K on it CPO'd at a Lexus dealer for $37k back in May,you might want to check the Lexus dealers,I found they had the lowest mileage best condition ones from trade-ins.For a few K more you might be able to find one and get the CPO warranty.
I agree you can't go wrong with a GX,best riding SUV I ever owned

That would in the right range assuming that there are records to go with the car. If the condition is good, I'd offer them 28k out the door.

Lead Lap
We bought a fully loaded 2008 last May for $31K with 52K miles on it--new Michelin tires--new brakes--two sets of floor mats--clean CarFax. Condition was excellent, but I did have to do some interior cleaning and clay bar/waxing of the outside. At the time, some posters on here stated they thought I had paid too much, but we don't think so. We've had no problems what-so-ever.
Now it's four months later & the 2013s have hit the showrooms. I would have thought prices on 08s would have dropped a bit, but maybe not. Makes me feel even better about our purchase and what we paid.

don't expect quality used cars to drop in prices anytime soon... looks like the used car market has been propped up by higher new car prices (drastic too)... i recently went back to check craig ebay etc sites for prices for my truck, jeep, and infiniti coupe and boy oh boy... used cars atleast mine are holding all too well... well wish the infiniti held better but atleast it ain't going downhill...
the gx470 is a killer car or truck that most people dream of owning (and i mean that too)... enjoy

We just bought a 2008 Lexus GX.
White with tan, immaculate at 53k.
We paid a bit more than some have been quoting, but it was in line with the KBB PP value for the car, mileage and condition.
LIke real estate, car values can be a bit regional. Living in the Seattle market, I feel like we got a good deal when everything is considered (market inventory, car condition and mileage, and local demand).
Plus my wife HAD to have the white/tan combo. So now inventory was even less!
Coming from a Mercedes ML320 (great truck by the way), we are quite happy with the GX.
I would have preferred a Land Cruiser, but finding a reasonably priced low mileage LC is like winning the lottery.
