Unhappy GX Option

Yeah, me too do not want the Lexus Link. But it seem like you must buy it with Nav. Now we have to pay extra just to get Nav, total of $3,915. I wish they can remove the Lexus Link & add the HID option. Or may be available in later car.

I am like the # 10 in line @ our dealer. But with these option I might wait for later car. Have some bad experience with 98 ML320 & 99 ML430. 03 ML were greatly improved, it like a different car. But Lexus might do a better job in first year model, since they were made in the same plant as LS.

Default What is it?

I don't think I am interested in Lexus Link either, but should I care if it is in my car? I assumed that the first year of service was free and that if I didn't want it I didn't have to renew it.

Is there some awful "attachment" or other asthetically unappealing "thing" in the car that is worth avoiding? I had assumed it was a little "button".

i went to my dealer today... they said if i wanted one with out the lexus link that they would have to special order it which would take a long time... also the guy ( one of the top peopel at the dealership said it would have hid's) i highly doubt that, and that they will get their first car in the show room on dec 4th... i also looked at the sheet and it said that they (our dealer) would be getting 9 blue micka colors and that the bulk of em 6 would be decked out, most all are going to come decked out... for thoes that dont know this is all of em... now back to the lexus link... after the first year there is no oblication to keep up with the service... and theirs no contract and you pay yearly... there are 2 types of services the concierge and the basic, they didnt go into great detail about em... only problem is spending the extra grand for it... humm anything else. ohh i picked out my color today the dark blue or blue mica or how ever one spells it.. my dealer was funny i almost hit him today, he was like you changed your color we have to move you to the bottom of the list, #430 or somthing, but then he was like no... i was like phew... hehe well thats all cant wait to see/drive one

My friend in Miami (did not get dealer name) went for a test drive yesterday. They have a Sliver Pine color available for test drive. Only complaint he have is the third row is too small & not easy to get in & out. He is 6'2".

Does anybody know which dealer have one availabel for test drive in SF Bay area?

The dealer I contacted in So Cal told me each dealership is getting one demo model. Didn't say when but did say they are for test drives.

I hope I lucked out as Sales Manager said I was #1 in line for a GX-470. I ordered a Silver Pine with Gray interior, rear entertainment, third row seats, tow hitch. Dealer called it lightly optioned (I guess that means no Lexus Link, nor Nav/Mark Levinson) but seems pretty complete.

Only wish it had HID's, and still don't know if it has rear window curtains.
