GX470 throttle body leak
During the 90,000 service for my 2006 GX470 the sop noted the throttle body was leaking and needed to be replaced. Cost was $980. Has anyone else experience this problem? I personally saw it leaking, after replacement f the timing belt and water pump from the recommended 90,000 service. Is it possible due to the service or do throttle body issues like this happen on their own?

Damn, $980 for a TB!!?? Man Lexus is milking us!!!
Dont have any advice for you but Ive never heard of a leaking TB even throughout the years when I had a Tundra (same VVT-i engine). Its a rare thing to go wrong......

I have searched the Net and found nothing so I assume my throttle body was an isolated event. Costly but replaced with a new unit. Hope less issues with my next major service.
