Default Air suspension Problems on 2004 GX 470

Well, I am approaching 80k miles and the ride in my 04 GX 470 had gotten very bouncy. So I had a mechanic friend run a diagnostic check and the right rear sensor was malfunctioning. My friend recommended to replace both rear sensors but my wife is "frugle" so we only replaced the malfunctioning unit. Well a month or two later we are back to the bumpy ride. I haven't had my friend check it out yet but I'm guessing either the other seonsor or both are malfunctioning now.

Now I don't want to get into a fix part "a" of suspension and part "b" malfuctions soon after. So I'm looking for some advise on how to go about getting this taken care of for the long term.

My questions are

What is the likely hood that once I replace both rear sensors that some other part will malfunction due to stress on the weakest link?
Will I be able to tell the difference with new rear sensors and old front sensors?
Should I replace the whole system and be done with it?
Is the Lexus dealer the only source for parts?

Well, do you tow often? That auto leveling air ride suspension is usually preferred over coil springs for towing. If youd like to keep your air ride, I always like to start with the cheapest and simplest solution first. It is possible that, just by coincidence, the other sensor malfunctioned. Thats where I would start.

If that doesnt work and you still feel like its bumpy, thats where I would pause and ask myself do I want to continue with new shocks? Or, do I want to just replace it all and go with an OME setup. You would have to fabricate your own lower bracket in the rear, though.

If I were a betting man, I'd guess that the other sensor is a likely cuprit.

How about a pic of the modded bracket and a cost estimate.
