Gx470 tmps
#2
Lead Lap
On most [all ?] Lexus/Toyota (and many other makes), tpms sensors are integrated as a part of the valve stem. On the GX470 there is a sensor in all 5 wheels.
To change, you need to break the bead of tire to the rim (a good shop can do this for you w/o having to entirely dismount and remount a tire). Then unbolt unit from the rim and install new one (initialize it too).
Good luck

Here is how the TPIS looks,
The ECU takes each tire pressure, tire temperature, and unique tire pressure warning
valve/sensor ID information from the antenna/receiver and compares it to the specified
value, which was registered during PDS. If the information received does NOT match the
specified value registered in the ECU, it will transmit a signal to illuminate the Tire
Pressure Warning System Indicator Light located on the combination meter
If yu have replaced ensure the New IDs are registered into the ECU. off course via the Dealer.
