Some people are able to do that, but the wire length on some vehicles won't permit it.

I have OME 2895 coils in the rear with metaltech's coil spring conversion kit. In the front I have Bilstein 5100 struts set to 3/4 of full lift with stock coils. Soon, I'll be putting the OME lift springs on the front to get rid of the excessive dive and lift when braking and accelerating. I think I got about 1 1/2 to 2" all around but didn't measure it.

I've been eyeing some 18" BFD wheels so I ordered a set today along with 285/60/18 Nitto Terra Grapplers and black chrome gorilla lugs. I went with gunmetal wheels, I think it'll go well with Silver Pine. I'll post some pictures when it all comes in and I can mount the tires and install them.

The harness length isn't different. You get a bit more length if you pop out both switches at the same time. Then use a small pick tool of flat blade to remove the connector. I mean, I guess you can remove the console, but if you're patient and careful you can get them out quite easily without removing it. I did both my bulbs in less than 30min.

Edit; the poster who asked the question has an 03 like I do. It should be very doable without pulling the console. I can't speak for newer ones though.

i replaced the timing belt and spark plugs on my GX. Has anyone ever noticed a negative difference in performance after doing this? My GX seems to accelerate slower...and gas mileage appears to be worse. I would have thought mileage should improve after new plugs.

Mine felt a little more powerful and fuel economy definitely improved.

Sure wish i knew why mine feels like the opposite. I have a obd2 chip that i haven't plugged in recently. I guess i should pop that in and see if there's anything else going on that i don't know about. Always a scary thing to check. "What you don't know, won't hurt you" lol.

It's usually the O2 sensors that affect the gas mileage. What's the mileage on yours?

i'm at 102K miles now. didn't think about the O2 sensors. i'm guessing when i plug in the diagnostic chip it will tell me if that's an issue.

thanks!

no check engine light. would a warning light come on for all sensors or just some? like ones before or after the catalytic converter? i'm not that knowledgeable about those sensors and locations.

O2 sensors don't usually trigger CEL unless it's a big problem. But at 102k, it should be part of the ignition tune-up. At least for me I do it like that. Together with the spark plug wires and other stuff that like to leak at that mileage.

You're sure you used the correct plugs, tightened them to spec, and got the coils properly in place? Maybe try disconnecting the battery and stepping on the brake pedal to reset the ECU (you'll have to do relearns for the windows/sunroof, etc), so the ecu can relearn with the new plugs in place.

i may go ahead and swap out the plug wires though. possibly a few of the hoses too since it's up there in mileage.
