You have two lamp housings. Using index and middle finger, pull each away (towards your tail lights) with firm pressure to unlatch, then at the same time pull down gently. If you have fat fingers, then maybe just index Lol. The housing should fall out. Same procedures both sides. Hope that helps

@NTH: Thanks for the tip!

I had read somewhere that you have to remove the back door plastic liner to access the license plate bulbs. Which I thought was absurd since you are definitely going to break some plastic clips and so on doing this. Could not believe Toyota/Lexus would allow this engineering oversight but none the less left my burned out bulbs alone since I didn't feel like spending an afternoon messing around with should be a 5m fix. Rant off.

-Replaced both license plate bulbs with new 5W bulbs. I did have to lever the drivers side out with a stubby screwdriver. But not too bad after your quick instruction.

-Replaced wiper blades. Bosch replacements.

-Washed and vacuumed.

^ Now to replace your backup bulbs, you do have to remove the entire rear door plastic trimwork. That's ridiculous!

It's not honestly that bad to remove that rear door trim panel, I've had to do it a few times due to issues with the captured nut for the licence plate, I can have it off in under 5 min now.

What tire size do you have? 265-70-17. Any rubbing issue? Or 265-65-17?

Thanks.

Just wanna share a short vid of our 2nd time off-roading last Saturday on Valentines Day, lol. Located here in San Diego, at Split Mountain Anza-Borrego Springs just a couple miles past Ocotello Wells. Enjoy!

@470SNC - Funny you said that, the look on peoples faces whenever we'd come across someone was just priceless. They're probably wondering if I was lost or something. LOL There was so much more to do, but we made a mistake of going a little too late, and the sun was already setting... Oh well, more reason to come back! I just hate the cleaning afterwards...

@NTH - Thanks! Glad some people enjoyed it!

Very cool pic! I was going to say "you've got no room left to sleep on top of those drawers", but it looks like you've got that covered, lol.
