A few things for the GX happening soon. I think I am going to hit Sears after work for a hose cart so I can do those quick 30 min washes more easily.

And next week I am going to finally get my side windows tinted. I think 35% to be legal and attempt to match the really light factory tint on the rears.

Added a polished stainless steel exhaust tip from eBay. Less than $40 and looks great--like it should have been on there from the factory.

Also re-packed all my junk into some Sears Craftsman tool bags instead of plastic bins from Wally. Looks better and the bags don't slide around.

On the other-hand, the rear door looks even better with the V8 badge removed. Since every GX has a V8, what's the big deal advertising that it has a V8? (Same goes for the "extra" full time 4WD badge.) Plus the rear door just looks cleaner with only the GX470 badge back there.

Love to see how it turned out, I checked on ebay and couldn't find one easy, can you share a link to a similar auction? I'd love to add one, I suppose I could just go inquire at the dealer too...

Here's what I bought:

Since the V8 4Runner has the same engine as our GXs, I figured the exhaust would be similar too--and it is.

Looks like the one in the photos above on the white GX--slight angle to the end of the tip. Quick shipping! The only complaint I have is that the stainless bolts that came with it (needed for the install) are at least twice as long as they need to be. I bought shorter bolts at Lowes, but they aren't stainless.

Filled the GX with gas--got 17.7 mpg--calculated--not bad!

Finally put the exhaust tip on today, love how it looks! I also went to Lowe's to purchase the proper (shorter) bolts.
