Lightbulb What did you do to your GX TODAY?

A very popular thread in all the forums I've been in. I'm surprised it's not in here yet. Well the title says it all.
Painted my front skid plate.

Looks great, but how long will it last? What type of paint was used? Love to see what it looks like mount on your GX.

It will last forever as long as you don't rub it against rocks. Enamel based paint so it will adhere to metal.

Look great. Your GX is very clean.
My skip plate was rust. I painted it black with spray automobile primer when I did my first DIY oil change.

Looks great! Any special prepping? Or just spray away?

Sand the surface with a fine grit metallic sand paper then clean the dust particles thoroughly. Then apply 3 coats of enamel paint in 10 minute intervals. Wait at least 1 hour before you install to allow the quick drying paint to completely dry. Presto, you're done.

Well, not really what this thread was intended for (I think), but hadn't found a place for my pictures (besides making a new thread), so here goes..

Did some FL hill climbing, and mild off roading, haha...

I'm doing mine soon. But it's gonna be powder coated. Have everything ready. Just need an oven to get it done.
