Tweeter Rattle Problem/Door Panel Removal How to with pics
Not sure if anyone else has had this problem, it presented as a rattle going over bumps and was clearly in the door panel. Place your hand over the tweeter and you could tell it was bouncing a little. The other indication was that if you visually compared one side to the other (driver vs passenger) the silver part of the tweeter was clearly further back than the other. Fix is really simple, pull the door panel and glue the speaker back down to its mount. This is the same way it is factory, there wasn’t any part that was broken that could be replaced, just came unglued. If you let this go too long, the speaker wires may break since they are the only thing left holding the speaker somewhat in place.
There are some good pics in the actuator and speaker replacement threads but heres a few more.
Door Panel Removal Pics….
Some steps I found in an old thread just so its all in one place. Didnt feel like re-typing, courtesy of purplehazek4
1. remove the armrest pad on the panel by pulling it upwards
2. remove the gold philips screws where the armrest pad was
3. remove the pop clip near the tweeter, by pressing in the center. that will make the clip release
4. remove the triangle plastic piece that covers the side view mirror by pulling it from the top towards you
5. pull on the inside door handle and pry the plastic piece behind it (use a small flat head screw driver and be careful)
6. remove the black screw behind it
7. remove the power window switches by using something stiff and thin and pry it upwards. then unclip the wiring from the switch and remove the gold screw behind where the switch was.
8. Remove the light and unplug it.
9. find the slot at the bottom of the panel and stick your fingers in there to pry it towards you. you have to pull hard and don't worry if the clips fall. you just reinsert them in their place
10. lift upwards once all the clips have released to remove the panel from the door itself
11. USE CAUTION! don't pull the panel out too far from the door! you have to undo all the wiring and cables. Three connectors by the speaker need to be unplugged
12. Remove the cable for the lock and door handle.

There is a circular slot that the plastic part of the tweerter slides into. Lets call it the tweeter lip for lack of a better term. Just put some glue in that slot or on the lip of the tweeter. You should see the factory glue residue. I just used some krazy glue for this one, holding fine so far. Once you tear down to that point its pretty clear.
