OEM "Pintle" Hitch Questions
I'm looking for a hitch to install on my '09 GX470 capable of only 500lbs (hitch hauler to put my generator on). I am interested in the OEM "Pintle" Hitch that is on Sewell's website since it seems simple (Really Class IV?)and well concealed with the factory trim cover:

Has anyone installed this hitch? I'm curious if the entire bumper cover has to be dropped/removed to access the front bolts...? The bottom bolts seem simple enough since I seem to have a factory place there already.
Thanks.

I have installed this hitch and did not need to remove the bumper cover. I did need to unscrew a couple of bolts and access was somewhat limited when securing the top bolts on the hitch. But it can be done safely this way and saves time & hassle vs. removing the entire bumper cover.
As I recall there is a lot of information on the forum re hitches, including this one.
Good luck!
Here's a good write up: https://www.clublexus.com/forums/gx-...ral-hitch.html
