1st day with 08, suspension question
Got my 08 today and love it so far for the 73 miles I drove. The question I have is the comfort and sport dial on the console. Can you tell when it is a more firm ride - or softer? I switched back and forth and couldn't tell the difference.

Just back from a 336 mile trip, on the comfort level I could feel a very soft ride kind of like up and over ocean swells, I kept switching back and forth looking for the sport difference.
A few other observations: overall got 20.7 MPG which suprised me, 1/2 highway the other half were winding twisting roads and some stop and go. On the 1st 70 miles I set the crusie control on 70 and got 21.9 mpg.
The headlights will have to go, we were on pitch black roads and compared to our RX with the HID lamps, these were not very good. I will look into new bulbs this week.
Overall very happy with this vehicle so far.

Leather Cleaning:
(done after vacumming the entire car and on a really hot day - don't plan on driving the car for at least 12 hrs)
I add about a dime size amt of Lexol Leather Cleaner to a moist rag and apply to leather seat (it gets sudsy). Use a clean bucket of water when doing this because it'll get dirty and rinse the towl often. I always try and use white towels so I can see how dirty it is.
Wipe down with clean water.
Wipe down with a dry cloth.
Let it air out for about an hour or two.
To condition my seat.
Put some rubber gloves on and apply lexol leather conditioner liberally every where as if your giving the seats a massage. I put on gloves because its much easier to massage it in. Be sure to put enough so that there's a nice wet look to it, the leather will soak up the conditioner.
Roll up the windows and close the door shut for at least 6-8hrs in the hot baking sun...I usually do it in the morning and wait until the next day to finish it up.
Next day, take moist towel and gently wipe off the excess conditioner. Rinse your towel frequently. After the rinse, wipe down the seats with a clean dry towel.
Detailing
Here's the list of Zaino products I use.
Z-18: ClayBar
Z-PC: Fusion Dual Action Paint Cleaner Swirl Remover
Z-2: Prof Show Car Polish
ZFX: Flash Cure Acelerator Additive
Z-8: Grand Finale Spray
Here's the high-level steps.
Wash car with liquid dawn (only do this if your detailing the car) and rinse.
Clean the wheels.
Get a new bucket of clean soapy water and Clay bar (Z-18) the car.
Rinse the car.
Dry the car with 100% cotton towels or those special towels like shamwow.
Apply Z-PC Fusion Dual Action Paint Cleaner Swirl Remover.
Remove Z-PC with a dry micro-towel
Mix ZFX to Z-2 according to instructions. Apply mixed product to vehicle. Wipe off. (You have option of doing 2 more coats for a total of 3 coats this is what sets Zaino appart from its competition - your essentially layering the product on) I typically do 2 coats but sometimes will do 3 if I'm looking for a good shoulder workout.
Apply Z-8 according to instructions.
Stand back and admire the car's wet glossy shine. On your vehicle it'll look like glass because you have a darker background as oppose to mine but the brilliance is phenomenol.
I'm looking to get another bottle of ZFX but don't want to pay $5 for shipping on a tiny little item. If your looking to buy some Zaino, let me know and I'll share shipping cost with you. I should mention that Zaino isn't cheap but to me its worth the price. The ZFX is a tiny bottle about the size of the top of your pinky to the first line and its $20. The other products are normal size products but ranges from $15 to $20 each.
If you want to detail your cars one of these weekends, let me know. I'll need to do both of my cars before the winter.

That looks like a lot of work....I think I will try the Zaino and order the above items. The shipping is $9.95 regardless of the amount ordered. Since I'm going to spend the 9.95 anyway I can just add aZFX to the order if you want.
