Cargo space
OK I'm really confused....
According to Lexus website, cargo space on GX (with optional 3rd row removed and 2nd row folded) is 77.5 cubic feet.
...and that cargo space on current RX (with rear seats folded) is 75 cubic feet.
If the GX is roughly 8 inches longer, 3 inches wider and 6 inches higher aren''t we expecting the cargo space to be significantly larger?
The LX offers a whopping 90.4 cubic feet and is only 4 inches longer and 2 inches wider than GX (same height).
I knew I should have stayed awake in Math class.
What am I missing?

It all depends on where that extra length is going. I'd imagine the GX has a significantly larger Engine compartment to make room for the V8. There's a little more legroom as well. 2.5 cubic feet is also not an insignificant amount of area. Imagine a cube of that size and the amount of cargo space extra it would take to fit that. 77.5 cubic feet of cargo space is pretty decent in my book. We currently have an RX and it has plenty of cargo space. What we really needed was that third row seat. Then again, we haul groceries and little people more than anything else.
