Armrest solution
The thing I hate most about this car is the small armrests. What did you guys do to resolve the problem? I know the RX has this... http://www.jjproducts.net/jj_product...ota/index.html
I dont know how well that would work for us though. Is there anything specifically for a GX?

Personally I find that hideous, but I do see where you are coming from. I'd honestly email that company and see if it will fit on the GX. My guess would be yes as Toyota/Lexus use many of the same parts in many of their vehicles.

any updates on this? Other solutions for armrest? I have a 2007 GX and the armrest is probably the most annoying thing about the vehicle for me... other than the mileage.

I know this is an OLD thread... But I too HATE the stock armrest. I am 6'2" and large frame/wide shoulders. I love car but need something wider or further away than the stock arm rest.
I was hoping to find an OEM center console for a Prado or other after market that has armrest built into the top inorder to replace the stock one... But I have not had any luck.
Anyone else know of a way?

Aftermarket Armrest
I installed this armrest on my 2006 GX. It was pretty easy to make the swap. You will lose the adjustment feature - this armrest either stays up or down.

If you scroll down on the link, it says they also sell a dual setup for the passenger side as well for double the price...
