Latest Rollout information on GX470
August 1:
The GX preview flyer is available. Visit lexus.com to request one for yourself.
August 29:
The GX preview site goes live on lexus.com. Get a 360-degree view of the interior and exterior of our newest SUV, as well as a list of features and specs.
November 18:
THE GX OFFICIALLY LAUNCHES.
Vehicles begin arriving at dealerships. An extensive media campaign starts. The GX launch site and the complete model section debut on lexus.com.
Starting in November:
See the GX at auto shows nationwide, starting with Miami in November and Detroit and Los Angeles in January.
Thank you for your interest in the ruggedly luxurious GX. We will be sure to keep you updated on these and any other events leading up to the debut of the GX.

Should I be #1
I am #1 at my dealer so I could be in mine on 11/18! But since my lease (RX) runs until 1/3/03 I could also wait a month or so. Do you think there is any value in waiting? I assume that basically they wont start finding or fixing the "bugs" for many months so a 6-week wait wont really help.

Knicksfan- you're right, 6 weeks won't hurt you. If you want to get some of the "bugs" worked out, you will have to wait several months.
Lxcruiser- tough choice! The GX is much less expensive than the X5 4.6 or the Range. As far as reliability, you can't go wrong with the GX. The interior of the new Range is very luxurious and it has the same 282hp engine as the X5 4.4. If you want the fastest SUV out there, the X5 4.6 is your choice. Good Luck!

As far as I know, we'll have a GX470 on the showroom floor sometime Late November/Early December. It will be for viewing purposes only. You will start to really see GX470's pumping out of showrooms in January 2003.

Have you guys received any of the Pamphlets yet? I sent in my name and address to Lexus (as per above instructions) and so far, not a trace of it. Has ANYONE who ordered one, gotten a pamphlet yet?

Well I didn't get anything about the GX470 butwhat I did get was a brochure for the 2002 LX470 today which I didn't really care much for since I have about three of them saved up...I was hoping for it to be a brochure for the 2003 LX470 as I was opening up the package....hopefully next time.
