52 VIEWS No one has any knowledge of this. I searched and I understand the steps involved But I have no button to push to eject the disk. Should the disk eject on its own when you slide the lock flap to open ??

Please help me

when I get home .I could not for the life of me see any button to press last night.

I cant thank you enough for answering my questions. On my sc430 I am always helping new members when they have questions Thanks again

Ok I admit it I am a big dummy . I found the switch and was able to get disk out One question it says version 3.1 I did try the hidden nav overide and got to the service menu but the overide does not work So I assume My 3.1 disk was an upgrade and not the oem one . would any one know what year version 3.1 is. I would like to upgrade to the latest version but only if it is a significant upgrade.

As I say to my wife, "Open your eyes!". Part of the reason why people probably didnt respond was if you really "looked", the answer was right before your eyes.

3.1? LOL, you have a long, long way to go:

Based on the web site the version coming in the fall 13.1 I may as well wait at this point so I get the latest
What surprised me was that the nav override would not work in the service menu The version being 3.1 such an early version could that have removed the ability to override. In my 2005 sc430 gen 4 they did not remove the back door until 2007 nav upgrade disk . Would you know for sure what the original disk version the 2004 gx470 would of shipped with when new ?

The override always works with 04GX. It is on the NAV DVD palyer version, not the DVD version. Search the threads for the correct hidden override codes.

You press and hold the override button for a few seconds till it changes the color.

I have pressed and held the button and the override is gone it does not work..

On my 2005 sc430 that used to have the override work it stopped working after the second disk update > the firm ware was re-written and this was supposed to be a lexus wide change. The back door was closed so many people were reluctant to update disk because they lost the function
