I get what you are saying.
As for the OE mats, I think all Lexus was pulled in an effort to cover posterior but I had no interference issues on my IS, just that they wore through pretty quick. And I agree they did do their job very well (without the hole).
I did look in CL here in Vegas and no dice on OE mats. If I run across I for sure would share to help. I used to see them now and then on ebay but even that seems to be gone. Next best option Husky or Weathertech.
