Rear Entertainment AUX while parked?
I've done some searching but can't find any reference to my question.
2006 GX 470 w/ Mark Levinson & Rear Entertainment with A/V AUX
The user's manual says that the Rear Video doesn't work unless the vehicle is in motion. I'm wondering if there's an override or hack for this? It would be nice to watch IPOD Video on a larger screen while waiting in the car, from at least one of the video screens.

I also have a 2006 gx470 with all the options and we have played the wii in the back while the car was moving as well as not moving.(we were stuck in construction) and we were playing with the button controllers not the ones you swing around. But I haven't tried an iPod before

Solution
Thanks to those who responded. I spent some time this past weekend playing around with different settings.
So..
1. Make sure you have a fresh battery in your remote, use it to switch between the DVD option and the VIDEO option.
2. Depending on your ipod model, you need the appropriate cable. 3g/4g models require a cable with a chip.
3. I was not able to get the audio to play through the speakers, only the headsets. This may just require more playing.
4. All while parked (with the DVD/NAV hack enabled) I didn't try it with the option off.

There is a thread in here on how you can install a switch to play on the front screen while driving.

I installed one on my 2004 GX and it works perfect. Without the switch while in park you can pull the emergency brake and watch on the front screen as well as the rear screen. Hope this helps.
